The classical Taoists were never interested in abstract concepts of what should be, but in discovering and affirming what is. They were never so arrogant as to suggest that the separating ego could ever devise a better way than the way that is “naturally so.”
Always trusting and affirming naturalness, the Taoists encouraged us to free ourselves from all cultural and individual beliefs that limit and frustrate us. We hinder our ability to receive by harboring limiting beliefs about what, when, and how we should receive.
So be free… be open. Be willing to see yourself as a beautiful part of the bigger universal picture.
