Binaural beats
What are binaural beats and how do they affect our body?
“The phenomenon whereby, through the simultaneous playing of
two sounds with slightly different frequencies –
usually one in each ear – through headphones an acoustic illusion is created, where the brain perceives a sound with a third
frequency, which represents the difference between the two
separate frequencies.”
That pretty much describes how binaural beats are created.
Binaural beats have several advantages, the most important of which is this
certainly, again, downshifting our brain waves. Other benefits include:
– Balancing between the right and left hemispheres of the brain.
– Helps with sleep disorders
– Deeper sleep
– More concentration
– Pain relief
– More creativity
– Easier access to meditation
– Lucid dreaming/astral travel
Because these benefits are similar to sound mediation, binaural beats are often part of an effective sound session.
