December.

You made it all the way here. And maybe that doesn’t feel like an achievement at all, maybe you’re sitting there wondering how that even happened, how the days kept moving forward when you felt stuck, or tired, or overwhelmed. But it is something. It’s everything, actually. Because this year carried a lot. Maybe too much. And still, you’re here.

Maybe you’re a little bruised from things you didn’t see coming. Perhaps you’re tired in ways you can’t quite explain to anyone. Maybe there’s a pride sitting somewhere in your chest, small but noticeable, like a light that refused to go out. Or perhaps you’re holding all of that at once, exhaustion and gratitude and confusion and hope tangled together. That’s okay. Most of us are.

There’s no finish line you need to sprint toward right now. No requirement to turn these last days into a masterpiece of productivity. You don’t have to rush or scramble to “make the year count.” You’ve already counted. Your presence counts. Your survival counts. The fact that you kept going when it would have been easier not to, that counts more than you know.

Let this last month be gentle with you. Let it slow you down, reminding you to breathe. Let December be peaceful, magical, calm.

Whatever you’ve been carrying this year, the stress, the uncertainty, the losses you didn’t talk about, the goals that slipped through your fingers, the healing that took longer than you thought, it’s okay to loosen your grip now. You don’t have to hold it the same way anymore. If it feels even a fraction lighter today, let yourself notice that. Let yourself appreciate it.

You’ve done enough. Truly. Even if you feel like you didn’t. Even if your mind insists you should’ve done more, been more, achieved more. The truth is that you are enough as you are.

And you’re allowed to rest. To breathe. To just be a human being at the end of a long year. Sit with yourself. Let the world slow down around you for once.

You made it.

That’s enough. And so are you. 💌
