🌿 Adjust your herbal facial bush
One of the things that I really like about making my own skin care is how easy it is to adjust recipes to the changing needs of my skin. Whether I respond to seasonal shifts, graceful aging or support dry or damaged skin, I can combine herbs and oils in a way that feels intuitive and nourishing – and always in line with what grows around me.
The basic recipe that I have shared here is a wonderful starting point, but it is also endlessly adjustable. You can mix and match herbs, depending on the actions you are looking for – whether it is about inflammation, adding moisture or gently drawing impurities.
Here are a few simple ways to adjust your homemade facial bush with herbs:
🌼 For dry or aging skin:
Choose herbs that are soothing, moisturizing and rich in skin -healing properties.
Attempt: Calendula, Weegbree, Violet, Pink Hides or Chickweed
Combine with rich, moisturizing oils such as Olive, sweet almond or avocado -oil.
🌿 For damaged or irritated skin:
Focus on herbs that promote healing and reduce inflammation.
Attempt: Plantain, chamomile, yarrow or comfrey (if you use comfortably)
Jojoba oil works well here, because it mimics the natural sebum of the skin and does not clog pores.
🍃 For fat or acne-sensitive skin:
Search for herbs with soft contracting and antibacterial qualities.
Attempt: Yarrow, Witch Hazel Leaf, Lavender or Lemon Balm
Use lighter oils such as jojoba or grapesAnd consider adding a little green clay instead of bentonite.
🌸 For sensitive skin:
Stay with calming, non-irritating herbs and lettuce strong essential oils or coarse textures.
Attempt: Chickweed, violet, rose petals or oatstraw
Connect with Jojoba or oil-thrown oil For a soft touch.
I like to think of herb skin like a dialogue – between myself, the country and what my skin asks for at any time. By listening carefully, we can create rituals that are both deeply personal and rooted in the nature cycles.
So experiment, play and follow instincts. Nature offers all the tools – we just have to learn how to use them with care.
