Sound Medicine and Sound Healing with its pure and subtle, sometimes stronger vibrations can help to move emotions within our system. Especially emotions that are stuck in certain parts of the body (especially certain muscles such as the Psoas and Trapezius are known as ’emotional’ muscles that store emotions and therefore become tense very easily).
That is why it may happen that a Sound Meditation / Sound Healing can bring out emotions so that they can be felt again. Because that’s what emotions are for.
The sounds produced in a sound meditation, especially through crystal singing bowls, gongs and Tibetan bowls, have the potential to touch us deeply and strengthen the inner connection. By connecting with our intuition and higher wisdom we can become very emotional and at the same time accept what is there.
Sound Medicine or Sound Healing helps create body awareness through the subtle sounds that will help us step into ‘feeling’ rather than analyzing. The more we practice and go to Sound Meditations or listen at home and the more we do certain exercises with the breath and voice that create sounds and vibrations in our system, the better we will be able to reconnect. By connecting more with our bodies and strengthening our body awareness, we will intuitively feel when emotions arise and enjoy their beauty.
By connecting to something bigger than ourselves through sound meditation, we can feel and see the bigger picture and understand that we are part of all that is. This often leaves us in awe and helps us connect with our essence and therefore with our emotions, because emotions are ultimately part of the human experience.
