There is an old Buddhist saying: “You cannot cross the same river twice. Both you and the river have changed.”
Change is the natural rhythm of existence. The river flows, carrying new currents and leaving old ones behind. We do the same. Every breath, every thought and every emotion shapes us and asks us to see life from a slightly different perspective. When we embrace these new insights, we begin to write a new page in our own story.
Take a look back at the person you were five years ago. Do you make the same decisions now as you did then? What changed and what stayed the same? Every moment offers an opportunity to start over. The same path, the same relationship, even the same challenge can reveal something entirely new – because We are new. Our experiences, choices and consciousness change the landscape within us. Healing is not about returning to who we were, but about embracing who we are now. Life is a constant invitation to flow and become.
In TCM, health depends on the free flow of Qi – the body’s vital energy. When Qi flows, we feel balanced, vibrant and peaceful. If it is blocked, we may feel stuck, tired or unwell. By recognizing that our body, mind and spirit, as well as everything around us, are in a constant state of change, we can find balance and harmony with other living things.
Although change can be intimidating, it is a natural part of life. When we move with change, we stay connected to the wisdom of nature and open ourselves to the possibility of transformation.
