Singing bowl therapy is increasingly recognized as an effective method of promoting health and well-being. A recent review article entitled “The human health effects of singing bowls: a systematic review,” written by Jessica Stanhope and Philip Weinstein in 2020, sheds light on the remarkable results that can be achieved through the application of singing bowls.

A total of four studies were included in the review article, in which various aspects of singing bowl therapy were investigated. Singing bowl therapy was compared with various interventions, including placebo treatments, silence and meditation.

The surveys included subjective measures such as pain, tension, anger, confusion, anxiety, fear, fatigue, quality of life and disability. However, objective measurements were also performed, such as blood pressure, heart rate, heart rate variability, respiratory rate, skin conductance, peripheral capillary oxygen saturation, and electroencephalogram measurements.
