The full moon reminds us of the intensity of Universal Qi and our powerful and eternal connection to the Universal. Tapping into that power and beauty not only intensifies our own, but also gives us the ability to recharge, refresh and renew. Luckily, there’s a full moon once a month, which gives us twelve (or sometimes thirteen (as we’ll see in 2026)) opportunities to connect. This month’s showing culminates on December 4 at 6:14 PM EST.
December’s Cold Moon is the last of three supermoons and the last full moon of 2025. Ahead, a flurry of celestial activity helps close out the year and welcome a year of new beginnings. The Geminids meteors will peak between the late hours of December 13 and the early morning hours of December 14. About a week later, on December 21, we celebrate the winter solstice, which marks the shortest day of the year and the official first day of the winter season. Keep your gaze up another day to take in the Ursids, the last meteor shower of the year.
Exercise during the full moon
Join our virtual December Full Moon practice on Thursday, December 4 at 7:30 PM during our regularly scheduled Qi Thursday. Slow down and connect with the energy of the full moon. In honor of this powerful moon, we will learn a new posture tonight. This Qigong form will carry us through the winter season and nourish Kidney Qi.
