Health data and sound
British-based companies have emerged The world’s first AI engine that extracts health data from sound (SoNUS).
They use cheap microphones to extract complex information and identify medical conditions. This could revolutionize healthcare and promote less invasive diagnostic tools.
Of course, this is nothing new in the world of healthy healing. Using energy assessment techniques and tools such as tuning forks and singing bowls, practitioners can gain insight into energy blockages.
Our students at SHA learn to identify imbalances in the biofield by identifying basic sounds with the instruments and then learning to feel where the fluctuations are, determining where a problem lies in a client’s body.

Academy graduate flourishes in Lefkada, Greece
SHA graduate Christian Gkekas is based in Lefkada, Greece and runs his own company Lefkada Wellbeing.
Before studying sound healing with us, he already worked in complementary medicine as a massage therapist. Looking to expand his offering, Christian was looking for something more to offer his clients and discovered sound healing and The Sound Healing Academy.
Since graduating from a Diploma level 2 (1-2-1 with clients)Christian has found a great love for tuning forks. He says: “They are versatile, I can take them anywhere and I have experienced how powerful it is to work on the biofield to clear any blockages and stuck energy, and on the body when working with weighted tuning forks! ”
He also said…
“The best thing about this practitioner training is that it takes a holistic approach to the human being, using the quality of unconditional love for the healing outcome. My teacher, Katie McCoy, really opened my eyes to energy work, and she was extremely supportive and nurtured my interest.
Since graduating, I have been working with my massage clients with great, long-lasting results, teaching sound baths in yoga and pilates centers and organizing my own retreats, delivering sound healing sessions and workshops.
The integral sound healing model has given me exactly the foundation I was looking for to bring sound into my work. I like that there is structure, but also flexibility to adapt to the needs of each individual, and also space to use my intuition.
Many people give me feedback about the sound healing sessions and sound baths. Most interesting was a 45-year-old woman who asked for help with a problem with her right shoulder, who had suffered from migraines during her cycle all her life. After 4 sound healing sessions, the migraines disappeared and she now feels much better!
For my next development as a sound healing practitioner, I am thinking of purchasing the Bio-well device, to connect it with my sound healing business. I would also be interested in acquiring more skills to work with children or people with special needs such as autism. Additionally, I would like to see an advanced gongs course from The Sound Healing Academy!” (we’ll see what we can do, Christian!)
We are excited to hear that Christian is seeing success with his healthy healing business and has been able to expand his offerings to existing massage clients.
A promising study
A study published in September 2024 examined the combined effects of integrating drumming, body percussion, sound therapy and trance therapy Subconscious Energy Healing Therapy (SEHT) for Peak Performance.
The promising results suggest that personal and professional development can be significantly improved. The rhythmic and vibrational effects of the exercises were especially highlighted as profound for mental clarity, emotional healing and physical well-being. The authors argue that employers could achieve greater employee productivity by improving well-being and team cohesion.
The health benefits of rhythmic interventions are increasingly recognized within healthcare.
US-based Medrythmns is at the forefront of cutting-edge technology that uses rhythm to support people affected by brain injuries or neurological conditions that impact physical activity. Informed and guided by current research, the results are compelling and significant.

What sounds do you find relaxing?
Studies have shown that Sound and music can have a major impact on our well-being and can reduce stress.
Consider, for example, nature sounds such as birdsong or sounds of the ocean, participating in making music and participating in a sound bath.
In a world full of noises and noises that can cause stress, anxiety and negative emotions, what sounds do you find relaxing?
Take a moment to think about the sounds you hear in your daily life. What reaction do you have to these sounds?
If you find that the ‘ping’ of a notification is making you stressed or nervous, can you turn off your notifications? Maybe step away from devices and go for a walk in nature. What sounds in nature do you find peaceful and relaxing?
If you’ve never been to a sound bath, you may find this the right space to disconnect from the negative effects of noise and bathe in sounds that aim to calm and relax. What are your favorite instruments? One of these is the frame drum, because its powerful sounds and vibrations help us connect to grounding energy and the rhythm of the earth.
We encourage you to take a moment to think about the impact of sounds on your well-being. Then you can actively look for sounds you like and make more time for self-care!
