When difficult things happen in life, it is often healthiest to put the past behind you and move on. This involves letting go of what once tormented us and letting go of any associated emotions, which is often easier said than done. Grandmaster Lu gives us great advice. ‘Do not look back. You’re not going that way.”
We often think that the past is the past. But time can go forward and backward.
Let’s say you have fond memories of the time your grandmother picked you up from kindergarten and took you to get an ice cream cone. Every time you pass your old school(space), imagine this memory. Even though your grandmother may be gone (space), she still lives in your mind, your heart, and your emotions (time). Through these memories we can recreate the feeling and conjure up a visual image. Memories and emotions have the power to transport us to another time and space.
If that can happen, how can that translate into disease and illness? If you cut out a tumor, does it disappear? No! The space may disappear, but the body’s memory of that illness (time) is still there.
Space and time cannot be separated. They are connected on many different levels. The root cause of illness is often related to emotion. To truly heal disease and illness, we must first heal time to heal space.
