Summer offers new opportunities to explore new flavors and feed your body with seasonal goodness. While enjoying your favorite barbecued food, you might also be able to consider recording Some nutritious options Such as lively berries, fresh vegetables, sturdy full grains and fresh fish in your meals. These additions can be a supplement to your summer dinner and support your wellness goals while you go through the warmer months.

Five nutritional food groups

Berry

Many berries are rich in antioxidants, such as anthocyanins and vitamin C. These antioxidants help support immune function and reduce oxidative stress. Common fruit that you have to add to your diet are blueberries, strawberries and raspberries due to their high fiber content and relatively low sugar levels. The nutrients in these fruits make great options when it comes to snacking or adding a little punch to your morning grains or oatmeal.

Vegetables

Never forget the power of fresh and colorful vegetables when you go shopping. Cruciferous vegetables such as Brussels sprouts, cabbage and kale are packed with nutrients that help support detoxification and can even help with inflammation in the body. Beets are often over -headed vegetables, but the vitamins and nutrients in these root vegetables offer a wide range of nitrates that help stimulate blood circulation throughout the body. Eating these vegetables raw is recommended in some circles, but the best way to get the vitamins and minerals of them is by steaming or roasting. This helps to bring out the natural flavors of the vegetables, making them tastier.

Cereal

Full grains are a great way to exchange foods with many carbohydrates such as bread or tortillas for healthier components. Farro, Barley, Bulgur and Quinoa offer large quantities of fiber to your diet without the added calories of synthetically made or industry -made style food. These grains also offer essential nutrients and minerals. B Vitamins, magnesium and iron are common nutrients found in these full grains. Adding grains to your diet can help regulate blood sugar levels, so that you stay energetic all day and as a bonus can help improve your overall cardiovascular and intestinal health.

Leafy

Dark colored greens are often overlooked because many of them have a bitter taste. This ensures that most people pass them by and do not want to put them in salads or other dishes. Spinach, kale, Swiss Chard and even Collard Greens, however, are loaded with vitamins such as vitamins A, C and K, and let’s not forget the minerals such as calcium and iron that these plants offer. Dark leafy greens such as these are powerhouses of minerals and must be added to any diet. If you don’t like the bitter taste of these greens, consider adding them to smoothies or mixing in an omelet. There are many ways to add these amazing healthy greens to your diet. It can just require a small imagination.

Fatty

Salmon, sardines and anchovies are beautiful cool fish options that naturally contain little mercury. These fish are rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which are essential for the health of the heart and brain. These nutritious fish also offer an excellent source of proteins and vitamin D. You can find these fish on most seafood markets and supermarkets, making them accessible additives to your weekly meals.
