Master Lu encourages us to take the time this summer to adapt to the caregiver of the season. Here is a message from him and in some ways he leads our community.
The goal for this summer is to calm the mind and enable the body to gradually build Qi. When the mind is peaceful, your Qi will not be wasted. Throughout the year I share valuable TCM lessons. Take this summer to “chew” what you have learned and really make them yours. As your beliefs change, your emotions will shift, your path will become clear.
Consider these questions:
- Food for essence, no fullness – how does this feel and do you know what this means?
- Follow the signals from the body, not your habits – what do you no longer serve?
- Respect the web of Qi in you – do you really believe that you are an energy? If so, what are you connected to?
- Study various previously taught course materials. More is not the answer. Go deep.
Here is a simple plan to help you on your way.
Step 1: cool the body and mind
- Days 1–2:
- TO EAT: Watermelon with a handful Nuts or seeds (such as sunflower, pumpkin or walnuts).
This combination nourishes and cools the system slightly, so that your digestive system can reset Qi. - Exercise: Hold the inner peace attitude in the photo above for more than 30 minutes.
- Reflectly: Answer the above questions and see what you learn about yourself.
Step 2: Lighten the load: choose food that is easy to digest
- Days 3–5:
- Eat: steamed or slightly boiled seasonal vegetables, fruit and mung beans. Full cereals such as Gierst and Quinoa.
- Exercise: keep the Inner peace Position displayed on the photo above for more than 30 minutes.
- Reflect: Can you digest more than eating? What about life, emotions? Apply your thinking to the five elements and see where your consciousness is now.
Step 3: Feeding Qi
- Days 6–7:
- Food: Introduce steamed salmon” barley” mung beans” Boiled vegetables” dates” Bamboo shootsand more watermelon.
- Exercise: keep the Inner peace posture for more than 45 minutes.
- Reflectly: In the Five Element Consciousness Framework you can ‘see’ your life and what you feed or limits. Make new patterns now.
Move forward – what do you believe?
- Everything in your body is part of a dynamic web of interconnection.
- Qi flows through meridians and constantly communicates with the internal and external world.
- When Qi is blocked, organs fall out of balance and physically appear: bloated, itching, pain, constipation, weight gain, uneven emotions to name just a few. This is true.
Grow with the five elements
If you grow, the element grows because it is not made by humans. Think about this …
