Wouldn’t it be nice if you had a way to look inside your body to understand the cause of your problems?
What if I told you that you do?
Stand in front of the mirror. Look carefully at every part of your body, starting with the hair on your head. Work your way down to your toes. What do you see?
- Is your hair thin and dull?
- Are the whites of your eyes really white? Does the skin around your eyes look swollen and heavy?
- Scan your body. Does your skin have a healthy glow?
- Follow your arms to your hands. Stop within reach. Are your nails healthy and shiny, or do they look dull and brittle?
- Go to your stomach. Are you carrying extra weight? Do you retain water during high and low tides within a day or from day to day?
- Now draw each of your legs down to your knees and feet. Can you stand still without wobbling, or do you have to hold on to keep yourself steady?
The outside of our body acts as a mirror. It reflects what’s happening inside.
Whatever you experience happens on an energetic level first. If the stagnation is not addressed and resolved, it begins to fester and bigger problems arise – things you may see in the mirror or feel in your body.
Each of these ‘symptoms’ are messages from the body. By sending you bags under bags, brittle nails or even extra weight, your body is telling you that something is not right energetically. By tuning into your body, you can begin to read the messages it sends. And once you understand, you can respond by giving yourself some love: rest to recover, food to support healing, and qigong practice to rebuild.
