There is a famous saying: ‘The road to hell is paved with good intentions.’
We all have good intentions that we want to act on, but essentially we fail to do so. We postpone those intentions to a later time – when it fits better into our schedules, when it makes more sense to do so, or because we will be better mentally prepared for it at a later time. But what if you took the first thing on your personal “good intentions” list and actually checked it off? And what if you completed the mission by following through on all those intentions? How can your life change?
The resolutions ended up on your list for a reason. They are internal reminders to do good deeds or become a better version of ourselves. They are an incentive to grow, learn, become more successful, more sensitive and more alive. But if these intentions wait until the timing is right, they will never manifest into reality – we will never truly own them.
Once a resolution is made, whether spoken, thought out, or written down, give it more than just a fleeting whisper. Take ownership of it. Put your love behind it and follow it. You will probably be so proud and feel so good that you did it.
