Nature continually provides examples and messages, if we know how to embrace them.
What is the first thing you see when you look at this photo? Most people would notice the large pink bloom. On deeper reflection you might see how the color of the flower stands out against the green background or how the buds are tightly closed, except for one that shows a hint of pink through the petals below. You might even see how the petals that are not yet fully open are neatly folded over each other or how a pinch of pollen remains on the inside of the opened flower. And have you noticed how the leaves open and embrace the sun, while at the same time protecting their beautiful treasures?
How many messages can you receive?
The beauty of nature lies in the invisible: the messages within the messages that we can translate into our own lives. Just as the sepals protect the bud as it forms, your skin protects everything inside you. And just as this photo shows each stage of plant growth β from bud to flower β each life experience places us in different stages. Almost everyone experiences and reacts differently to life events. There is no one right way to feel when something is happening. In a given situation, we can be like a new button, protected by our friends and family β quietly held in check. We may be almost ready to blossom, simply to form our understanding, but not quite ready to open ourselves. Or maybe we are like a flower: we can express ourselves and let our beauty shine for all to see.
While this plant fulfills its destiny by producing colorful flowers, so much is happening on the invisible level. Leaves convert the sun’s energy into food, roots absorb and filter water through the plant and bees pollinate the flowers. In the same way, there is a lot going on in our bodies that we don’t see; things we may not even be aware of. Our organs perform both physical and energetic tasks. To truly bloom like this beautiful flower, the physical and energetic systems in each organ must communicate and harmonize. In turn, each properly functioning organ must communicate and harmonize with the others. When this happens, we experience good health and an even flow of emotions; we are truly in balance.
Start seeing these relationships in nature and connect them to your life. What do you need to do to allow yourself to fully blossom? Start creating your own harmonious story.
