How to make Buffalo Chicken Chile
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- 1 pound of ground chicken
- 1 tablespoon of oil
- 1 onion, cut into cubes
- 1/2 cup of celery, cut into cubes
- 1/2 cup carrots, cut into cubes
- 2 clove garlic, minced meat
- 1 teaspoon of ground cumin (optional)
- 1 teaspoon of bell pepper
- 1 cup of beer or chicken broth
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can be diced tomatoes
- 1 (14.5 ounce) can beans from cannellini, removed and flushed
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon of Cayenne
- 1/2 Head of hot sauce (such as Frank’s Red Hot)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Crumbled blue cheese to taste
Route description:
- Heat the oil in a large saucepan, add the chicken and cook before sitting aside.
- Heat the oil in the pan, add the onions, celery and carrots and cook until soft, about 10-15 minutes.
- Add the garlic, cumin and bell pepper and cook until fragrant, about a minute.
- Add the beer or the broth and deglaza the pan.
- Add chicken, tomatoes, beans, oregano, cayenne pepper and hot sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Serve fortress with crumbled blue cheese to taste.
Options:
- Chicken – The recipe requires ground chicken, but chicken thighs without leg or cooked ground chicken would also work. The cooking time would remain the same.
- Extra vegetables – Try to add some corn or chopped pepper! Read the comments under the recipe to get more ideas.
