When it comes to chronic health problems around the world, heart conditions and cardiovascular problems are among the most prominent problems. To put this in perspective, in the US alone, around 610,000 people die on an annual basis of heart conditions, about 1 in 4 dead in general. The enormous number of death due to heart issues has led to an increase in the consciousness of ways to try to combat this problem, such as promoting more physical activity (1). This is also reflected in a growing number of progress in the treatment of heart conditions, known as interventional cardiology.

Ideally, keeping the heart healthy would not find a matter of trying to find one single “magic bullet” that will immediately clean up problems. Instead, one must try to combine the general regimes with various additional items and food choices with a proven background of heart support. Here are some common examples.

Heart healthy food ideas

Omega-3 fatty acids:

These are essential nutrients that play different roles, including supporting brain and eye health. However, when it comes to the heart, the most important advantage of this is that they help to reduce inflammation that can result from atherosclerosis. Moreover, they also lower the triglyceride levels, which tend to lead to blocked arteries in the first place. Because Omega-3 products are so popular, many studies have been done on it. One study (2) shows that they are linked to lower blood pressure and the risk of death due to heart disease. For those who are interested in eating their Omegas instead of taking supplements, the best bet will be cold water fish such as salmon or mackerel. For those who do not eat fish, there are a good backup option walnuts and linseed.

Heart -friendly drinks:

A simple swap of soft drinks for some other drinks can be a big advantage when it comes to heart health. For example, green tea is loved because they are calming, but it also has the remarkable component Epigallocatechin Gallate (EGCG). This is an antioxidant, it is known to help clean up damage in free radicals. One study showed that this antioxidant could offer considerable benefits for the heart. Note that the research parameters were applicable when the participants took five to six cups of green tea a day. Pomegranate Is another example that also contains antioxidants that can help lower blood pressure.

Herbal change:

Salt will help many dishes in the taste department, but it is not the best for the heart. The good news is that there are many alternatives that people can use during cooking. One of the best options is turmeric. Some of the benefits laid down in studies include promoting circulation and reducing blood clots. If turmeric is not to someone’s taste, lowering the salt intake can only have heart benefits. Basil, bay leaves, cayenne pepper and coriander are just a few examples of different herbs and herbs that can go great in dishes, without the need for surplus salt.

Supplements to support Cardio -Health

Coenzyme Q10:

The heart is without a doubt the most edited muscle in the body, which means that it requires a lot of energy day in day out. Coenzymeq10, or COQ10, helps to provide the heart and other physical functions by helping cells to extract energy from food. It can be useful to supplement this, because it has been proven that it decreases with age. One study Showed that COQ10 supplementation helped to relieve many of the common symptoms of heart conditions. As an extra comment, statin therapy has shown that in some cases they lower COQ10 levels, so those who undergo this may want to give extra consideration to COQ10.

Magnesium:

Magnesium Is remarkable because it is one of the most important minerals in the human body, but the vast majority of people don’t get enough. In terms of heart health, it serves the role of relaxing the heart and making it possible to work better. For example, it helps to dilate the arteries to lower blood pressure. It also helps the body in various other ways, from improving sleep to helping to increase the function of other supplements, such as calcium.

For many people it can be difficult to try to stay when making large nutritional changes or the use of a supplement on a regular basis. That is why it is important to first consult a doctor. Firstly, a doctor will help with tests that can determine a person’s general heart health and determine whether immediate or preventive action is needed. In addition, if a patient has a shortage of a certain nutrient, a doctor can give guidelines on which supplements and foods can be eaten to achieve a healthy quantity.
