I’ve probably written a blog about head lice before, so consider this an updated post with more knowledge and information than before.
It has been many years since I have dealt with head lice on my son, but recently we had an attack of head lice that would not go away, the egg stuck to the hair and the head had to be shaved.
As with everything, a full symptomatic approach had to be taken because, like everything else, head lice do not just appear and do not affect just everyone. I was reminded that even head lice require a full body treatment. The body must have a lower vibration or not function optimally to attract something like head lice.
What got me thinking with my homeopathic brain and energetic brain and the connections between emotions and attracting head lice, there is often a feeling of jealousy, feeling hurt for sensitive. It’s about not having boundaries within ourselves that we let others attack.
The following remedies can help prevent and remove head lice. It is of course advisable to also treat the hair, including combing, treatments (of course) and, if necessary, shaving the head and starting over.
• Pediculus 200c: if your child is infected or if outbreaks occur. This remedy is a homeopathic nosode made from louse. Can also be used for prevention
• Psorinum 30c: weekly this is an important supportive tool to reduce sensitivity.
• Staphysagria 30c: daily if necessary. This remedy improves boundaries and reduces sensitivity, both physically and emotionally.
Other solutions to consider
Apis suits busy, curious, restless children who can be jealous and get angry easily.
Lachesis suits jealous children who are very talkative, strong-minded and intense. The scalp can be very sensitive and they hate being cut.
Lycopodium when self-confidence is low and the child is easily overwhelmed by expectations. Sulfur is good for warm-blooded children who hate bathing and washing their hair. They love junk food and are quite lazy and messy.
Something else you can do?
lavender oil, tea tree oil, rosemary oil in a spray bottle and spray into the hair before school or daily.
If the situation continues, a constitutional remedy may be necessary.
