Meditation is not something you do Doing or you excercise. Real meditation just happens. The same goes for love.
You cannot plan for meditation, just as you cannot plan for love. Instead, you prepare your mind and body so that meditation can happen to you one day. What does this preparation look like? Learn to let go of your fears, stress, worries and anxieties. Stop overthinking and overanalyzing. Simply said, but not easily done: let go of the mind.
Often we walk into a meditative session with our minds, not our free hearts. But true meditation cannot be associated with the mind. The mind is limited, but love is unlimited. This also applies to the universe and life itself. To connect with these higher messages and reach the mind, you must let go of the mind. When the mind disappears, there is meditation.
Letting go of the mind is not an easy task. We are conditioned to think, analyze and act constantly. To-do lists, dinner recipes, responsibilities and thoughts are constantly running through our minds.
So how do you calm the mind and connect with your inner self? Some people find a meditative tool helpful. Choose a symbol that you personally connect with or an image of an experience that takes you to a place of peace, happiness and tranquility. This symbol can be used as a gateway to move into this deep meditative state, where you allow your thinking mind to take a break and your intuitive nature to take over.
After you train yourself to develop this inner peace, you no longer need a meditative tool. You can simply close your eyes, breathe and find your center. And eventually, you may even reach the point where you no longer need to set aside time to meditate. After all, everything is meditation. Can you live your life as a living meditation?

As you step into this new week filled with a constant swirl of thoughts and emotions, take some time for yourself. Recall that symbol or experience that calms you from within and enjoy this guided meditation. Come back to it as often as possible this week. Then check in with yourself. How do you feel? If you see progress, make it part of your daily ritual.
