Maintaining physical activity during the holidays can help offset the extra calories and maintain your energy levels. Exercise also helps reduce stress and as everyone knows, the holidays are stressful. Holiday Exercise can also be tough when temperatures drop, and opportunities for outdoor exercise are declining. Here are a few tips to stay active this season.

Add mini workouts: If your schedule is full, try short, intense workouts or yoga sessions at home.

Any move is better than none: Even if you don’t have time for a long, hard workout, a quick 15-minute walk or a quick ab workout is always better than no exercise at all.

Make exercise a family affair: Organize a group walk, play a game of touch football or take a family walk after an extensive meal. Incorporating exercise into the holiday and doing it as a group makes it easy and fun.

Use technology: If you don’t have time to go to the gym, use free workout videos to get some exercise without leaving your home.
