I was reading a fantastic article about using multiple remedies for fertility and came across the work of Vannier who described the different types of remedies so well.
If you’ve heard me speak, I’m talking about the constitutional remedies that Vannier refers to as the fundamental remedy.
However often we use Bowl-nosodes and Miasm, as well as organ medicines that still fit within the overall picture, but support the Fundamental remedy. But Vannier has categorized them and explained them very well.
Remedy description according to Dr. Leon Vannier:
Basic remedy – In my words, the constitutional remedy and possibly also the Similimum remedy has a profound, long-lasting effect.
It restores the balance of an individual.
Anti-drainage agents – Prevent aggravation and ensure the function of the organ. Eliminate toxins, but is still individualized based on the state of the person and the state of the remedies. For example, a bowl nosode is something I use often.
Lesional remedies – used in low potency for chronic cases where there is an anatomical change in the organ and the symptom arises from the structural dysfunction. Symptoms arise, for example, from prolapse. The remedy is still always tailored to the overall symptom picture.
Miasmatic (nosode) remedy – Chosen based on the patient’s family history and health.
Miasms are emotional and physical responses passed down from generation to generation. An example is if someone in the family had tuberculosis, which was then passed down in the next generation as asthma or weak lungs.
Sometimes it takes more than just the basic remedy for complete and long-lasting healing.
