Tincture dosing for large and small people

Tincture dosing for large and small people

Written by
Wishgarden Herbalist

Body weight plays a role in determining the dosage of tincture.

Larger men and women may need the dosage twice, while children are about half, ranging or down, depending on how large they are. A formula is to divide the weight of the child, in pounds, with 150. This gives the percentage of the adult dosage to use for a child.

There must be careful to use the softest herbs that are possible when working with children because they are sensitive and generally respond quickly. Only a few drops of the most benign herbs are suitable for infants. Children can only use the herbal remedies of our children and stay away from our adult remedies.
