Menopause refers to the end of the menstrual cycle in a woman’s life, which occurs as part of the natural aging process. The reason behind headaches during menopause is the hormonal changes that take place. The hormone affected includes estrogen and progesterone. In addition to headaches, other symptoms may occur, such as nausea, sensitivity to light or sound, feeling like there is a band around the head, a strange feeling in the head, dizziness and fatigue. It can also lead to sleep problems, feeling depressed and anxious. Women who suffer from migraine (i.e. one-sided headache often accompanied by nausea and vomiting and sensitivity to light, smell, sound) or tension headache (this type of headache is related to stress and is characterized by a tight feeling in the forehead and back of the head). head) may find that their headaches worsen around menopause.

Sepia is the best medicine to treat headaches during menopause. In cases requiring sepia, headache may be accompanied by nausea and vomiting. There is a splitting headache, as if the head would burst and the eyes would come out. It is made worse by any kind of movement and bending. Headaches may improve after eating. Heaviness and coldness may be felt on the top of the head. Not just headaches, this drug is also best suited to treat other menopausal problems such as hot flashes, thinning hair, weight gain, and vaginal dryness.

2. Lachesis – For pain on the top of the head

Lachesis is a very effective drug to treat headaches that occur on the top of the head, that is, on the crown. In addition, a feeling of pressure/weight and burning heat is felt on the top of the head. It is also useful to control a throbbing sensation on the sides of the head, that is, in the temporal region. It also feels as if blood has rushed to the head. In some cases, headaches may be accompanied by blurred vision or flickering before the eyes. Pain can be one-sided, mainly affecting the left side. Sometimes pain from the head can extend to the neck and shoulders. Hot flashes are quite prominent, along with headaches. Insomnia may also occur.

3. Glonoine – For throbbing headache

This medicine is recommended for the treatment of throbbing (rapidly pulsating) pain in the head. In addition, there is a feeling of blood flow to the head, which causes congestion and a feeling as if the head would burst. There is also a feeling as if the eyes are protruding from their sockets. The pain is worse by walking and shaking the head. There is relief through sleep. Hot flashes are felt on the head and face. Nausea and vomiting may be accompanied by headache. A weight is also felt on the top of the head. Vertigo can occur together with headache.

4. Sanguinaria Can – For right sided headache

This medicine is beneficial for treating right-sided headaches. In cases where this is necessary, the pain starts in the back of the head, then moves up and finally settles in the right eye. Headaches get better with vomiting and good sleep. If headaches occur periodically, that is, at a fixed interval after every 7 days, then this drug is especially useful. 5. Amylenum Nitrosum – For left-sided headaches

This medicine is indicated for the treatment of left-sided headache. A throbbing sensation is felt in the head. It appears that blood has flowed to the head and face, causing obvious redness in the face. There is a feeling as if the head would burst. Hot flashes are a prominent indication where this medicine is needed. Hot flashes are followed by excessive sweating and cold skin.

6. Cyclamen – For constant headaches

This medicine is useful in women who experience persistent pain in the head. Headache is accompanied by nausea. Vertigo can also occur. Vomiting occurs almost every day and relieves the headache. Although pain can be felt on any part of the head, the pain is worse on the left side. Headache is made worse by exercise and in the open air. This medicine is also indicated for headaches that occur in the morning and are accompanied by flickering (flashing on and off) before the eyes.

7. Ferrum Met – With the feeling of a band around the head

This medicine can be used for headaches and the feeling of a band around the head. The pain is of the pulsating type in cases that require it. There is a heated feeling in the head. Flashes of heat are also felt in the face. The pain from the head can radiate to the teeth. A stabbing sensation may be felt in the head. Headaches can last two to three days if necessary. This medicine is also indicated for dull pain in the forehead that spreads to the top of the head. It gets better by applying pressure with the hands on the head.

8. Strontium Carb – For pain in the neck that spreads upward

This medicine is selected when the pain starts from the neck and then spreads upwards. It is relieved by wrapping the head warmly. The pain from the head may go to the upper jaw, along with nausea and dizziness. Flashes of heat are felt. Excessive sweating occurs at night.

9. Crocus Sativus – For headaches with pressure in the eyes

Crocus Sativus is of great use when headaches are accompanied by pressure in the eyes. A burning sensation is also felt in the eyes. The pain is throbbing and pulsating in nature. It is felt in different parts of the head. Headaches get better by applying pressure to the head. The blood vessels of the head feel dilated. The headache can also disrupt sleep.

10. Theridion – For headache with nausea and vomiting

Theridion is prominently indicated for the treatment of headaches with nausea and vomiting. The pain is mainly felt in the forehead and can extend to the back of the head. Pressure is felt behind the eyes. Heat is felt in the head along with the above symptoms.
