Many people start the year with a list of resolutions. In general, a large number of resolutions focus on external health and wellness, such as going to the gym, eating healthier, and the like. But what if you decide to do something different?
This year, resolve to do 25 things that you can enjoy every day, every week, every month, or even spread out throughout the year. It’s 25 in ’25.
Here’s a list of ideas to get you started. And remember: the goal is not to focus on the number 25 (no need to look at the clock!), but to find ways to nourish your soul. Be kind, go out and enjoy every day.
- Spend 25 minutes (or more!) every day in quality Qigong practice. By the end of the month you will start to see a difference.
- Walk away from your computer every 25 minutes for an eye and brain break.
- Spend 25 minutes (or more!) outside and breathe the fresh air. Nature is healing and rejuvenating!
- Get lost in a book for 25 minutes (or more!) every day.
- Write a list of your 25+ best qualities.
- Keep a list of something nice that happens to you every day for 25 days. Even if you’re having a particularly tough day, look for the good, no matter how small or insignificant it seems. Reread your list when you need a pick-me-up.
- Find more than 25 ways to be kind. This can be as simple as smiling at a neighbor, helping your teen with a problem, or complimenting yourself. Yes, you deserve your kindness too!
- This year, focus on the little moments. (There must be at least 25!) Whether it’s digging in the garden, playing catch with your pup, or laughing with a friend over coffee. Slow down and take the time to really notice the moments that are so easy to miss, and then lie back and enjoy the effect of your movements in motion.
