Meditation masters dissolve into light
practice, it involves the practitioner being able to resolve the walking aspects of their body and mind into the light at the time of death and even during their lifetime. Thousands of people witnessed the astonishing events, including stunned Chinese prison guards who locked meditation masters in prison cells only to find them completely gone.
The rainbow light seen at the time of death is a manifest symbol of the energies of clear white light into which the meditator has successfully dissolved his physical elements. According to ancient Tibetan spiritual traditions, our planet is living and sacred; and the five elements of earth, water, fire, air and space are not only natural resources, but can be considered fundamental aspects of a living universe. These five elements also correspond to the five wisdoms of enlightenment, all of which are aspects of a universal consciousness. As I said, this is an advanced practice, but I would like to provide an overview here to inspire people about what is possible within the human condition.
about the universal potential and implications of the phenomena:
“It suggests that the alleged resurrection of Jesus Christ was not an isolated case, but stands out as an example of what is possible for all people.”
Tibetan Buddhist teachings say that we are all beings of light and that the Rainbow Body training is primarily intended to remove the blocks and obstacles that prevent this reality from manifesting in plain sight. The Tibetan Buddhist explanation of who we really are consists of a trinity, as manifested in so many other spiritual traditions. The trinity that composes us is: an omnipresent formless field of consciousness, a subtle light/sound/bliss energy body and the individual expression of physical appearance. Very similar to what I understand to represent God, the Holy Spirit and the Son. This trinity is a seamless whole that represents different aspects of one thing.
“The elements of the body shrink as the light aspect of the elements becomes more pronounced and the gross aspect diminishes. The body becomes smaller and takes on a younger and more radiant quality. Sometimes the process is incomplete before consciousness completely leaves the body. In that case, the corpse may be quite small and young-looking. That was the case with HH Dudjom Rinpoche, if you go to his stupa (grave) you see that he is quite small and is the size of an 8 year old.”
“A week before the Khenpo died, a flat rainbow appeared over his house. Those present at his death told Fr. Francis that they saw the wrinkles on his skin disappear and the skin become smooth and shiny, like that of a young boy… Everyone present noticed a sweet smell, like perfume. Outside the vault they saw rainbows in the sky…the body just shrank [his disciples] saw no signs of decomposition.”
If you haven’t thought about it yet, this is what happened to Obi Wan Kenobi when he allowed himself to be struck down by Darth Vader. His body immediately dissolves into space, but he merges with the force and continues to guide and guide Luke on his path to Jedi enlightenment. I know Star Wars is just a movie, but it’s a pop culture example that millions are familiar with, and yet another idea that George Lucas borrowed from Eastern mysticism.
Today, however, not only do teachers relate incidents involving the rainbow body from their memories of Tibet, but contemporary masters have acquired the rainbow body themselves. It is unofficially said that thirteen incidents involving the rainbow body have been observed within just one tradition in the past hundred years. Dudjom Rinpoche is one such example, among others, including the 16th Karmapa.
David Wiclock reports that there are more than 180,000 documented cases of people turning into a ‘lightbody’ after death. He gave a fascinating presentation describing the events in detail and showing evidence of footprints left by numerous Masters. When they reach a level of realization in the Rainbody Body practice, they can also manipulate matter and leave hand or footprints in solid rock. This is another well-known phenomenon in Tibet and every year thousands of Buddhists make a pilgrimage to the caves where these masters literally left their mark: you can view Wilcock’s presentation at YouTube here.
In fact, Tibetan Buddhists widely worship masters and yogis who have achieved this level of realization, for the rainbow body is said to make the Buddha’s enlightened body visible to practitioners who can see them. It is thus a manifestation of the Buddha’s great love and compassion, and gives hope and confidence to practitioners. Westerners can also be reassured by the mention of an American who achieved the full rainbow body, as shown in Bokar Rinpoche’s book Tara: the feminine divine.
These esoteric rainbow or light body teachings are still available today, and great masters are still found who have achieved this state. Therefore, the rainbow light body is not only a fascinating historical phenomenon, but a living tradition. Part of the training is to visualize yourself as being made of rainbow light and this is relatively easy to do. I have found this practice very rewarding and creates a feeling of lightness and joy. The psychological reason for this particular visualization is to stop and replace our everyday projection of who we are, in other words to replace our everyday projections of the ego and imagine something much closer to the truth of who we are. are. This visualization has enormous potential for unlocking immense love, universal wisdom and the unlimited power to realize our dreams here on earth.
