The holidays can also be a time of increasing loneliness and isolation for some people. These feelings can come from a variety of sources, including having an unrealistic expectation of what the holidays should be like or missing a loved one. It’s important to prioritize staying connected to loved ones during this time. Here are some tips for maintaining social connections and minimizing loneliness during the holidays. Schedule regular phone calls or video chats with family and friends who may not be able to meet physically. Hearing a loved one’s voice or seeing their face can even connect across the world. Reach out to loved ones who may be having a hard time during the holidays and offer support and understanding. Just because it is the holidays does not mean that someone going through a difficult time can be expected to be happy and cheerful. Being there for them in the midst of their grief can help them feel connected and supported through the difficulties. You can find more tips here
