Catherine, where did the formula for kick-ass immune from and how did it get such a catchy name?
In the early 90s here in Boulder I had and I had asked a fundamental immune formula with certain attributes, and that eventually became the name – basic immune formula. This name has been for a long time. Even when we came to the Rocky Mountain region in the retail trade, this label was on the shelf.

One day I was in a store, talked to staff members and I held the bottle and said, “This name is not going to cut him on the shelf; it is way too boring.” I knew what the formula could do in terms of effectiveness, and I knew that it was particularly dramatic in that sense, and I also knew it needed a name that said what it did. I had an exchange with people I knew reasonably well and I started to joke and say: “You know, something like Kick-ass immune activator. Because this really kicks!” One of the employees says, “Yes, that!” I threw my hands up and said, “No, I can’t do that! I can’t sell that to my Amish customers in Ohio!” But the staff member was persistent and eventually convinced me that it would be a great name.
At that time we were already able to run and print labels in the house, so I decided to continue and make a label and put it on the bottle to see what would happen. So we did that, and this store placed some of the small 1oz Pocket remedies at the cash register, and it started to sell like crazy! That was my first big experience with merchandising or branding, and what kind of effect that has on sale. Even something like a name can be as important. Kick-ass immune became popular because it encouraged a wider customer base than most supplements. Building workers, as well as young people, used it. There were people insulted by the name, but it had a much broader impact than I ever thought. To have that impact, the formula naturally had to live up to its promise. And it really falls into the immune system to protect at the beginning, in particular with regard to seasonal diseases. So that’s how it got his name.
Why is Kick-Ass immune so effective?
This formula uses a specific strategy; Let’s call it the kick-ass family of therapeutic approach and formulation. There are a number of members in this family, this group, including immune, sinus, biotic, and then you have the children’s versions of all these formulas. This kick-ass underlying strategy is also used in serious V-fighter and is the core strategy in the lactation line for the happy channels.
The attributes of this formulation strategy are full immune support, good strong. And the team leader is Osha (Ligusticum porterii). It is a main component of Kick-Ass immune. The Van Osha family, the umbelliferae Family has a number of fairly strong immune support that we will use, depending on where we are in the order of the immune response. Is it early? Is the beginning in the middle of the stage? Or is it a hang-on, late phase cold where we can move to lomatium?
When it’s cold, we can move to Angelica, whatever is in it umbelliferae Family, and is a herb that prevents main colds from going into the lungs, as in the deep lung formula.
Osha is the team leader, and that is half of the effort here in the kick-ass immune. The other half, and what the staircase The lymphesteam is in the Kick-Ass family. This lymphatic team brings it to a new octave. This is what makes it so much more effective than just in itself. In a store, in a good category, there are many great immune things. That is one of the things that we do best with natural products, herbs and supplements. But why does this kick-ass family push the envelope forward? Because of the lymphest team.
