5 Signs Your Hormones are Out-of-Whack |

As we get older, even a slight disruption in our hormone levels can cause stubborn belly fat to stick. Fortunately, you can adjust hormones naturally (no prescription required). More about that in a second. First, let’s see if those extra kilos came from a hormone unalance – or, you know, the extra slices of pizza that you wanted nobody knew.

What is a hormonal imbalance?

A hormonal imbalance happens when you have too much or too little of one or more hormones. It is a broad term that can represent many different hormone -related circumstances.

Hormones are powerful signals. For many hormones, having even too many or too few of them can cause major changes in your body and lead to certain conditions that require treatment.

Some hormonal imbalances can be temporary, while others are chronic (in the long term). In addition, some hormonal imbalances require treatment, so that you can remain physically healthy, while others may not have an influence on your health, but can negatively influence your quality of life.

Your waist gets bigger, but you eat well

If you have had a relatively flat stomach for most of your life and then suddenly that spare tire appears at night, it can be a sign that you have developed a hormonal belly. As we get older, the body can become more insulin -resistant, by driving your body to save fat instead of burning it down. Women also become estrogen-dominant as we go to perimenopause and then, which promotes insulin resistance and builds up the belly fat.

You have required a lot of sugar

Leptin is the hormone that warns your body when you are full, but increased insulin levels ultimately lead to increased leptin. Consistent raised leptin levels can lead to a dysfunction of leptin receptors who stop sending signals to the brain to tell you to stop eating. As a result, you do exactly the opposite of what leptin is designed to check, and you continue to eat, which never receives the signal to stop.

You experience mood swings

As women start the pre and postmenopausal years, their estrogen levels often fluctuate, which can lead to mood swings and stubborn weight gain around the abdomen. This is also the time that most women reported the start of depression or recurring depression.

You are constantly stressed

Another important player in the hormonal belly fat game is cortisol, often called the stress hormone. Cortisol levels increase when your body feels that you are stressed or anxious, which can lead to stubborn weight gain. High levels of stress and fear can send the body to survival mode that increase our cortisol levels and signal the body to save more fat.

You are exhausted all the time, but you can’t fall asleep

Insomnia and exhaustion can be significant signs that blame hormones. Lack of sleep makes you tired, making you stressed, making it harder to sleep. Hello, vicious circle. All these things will mess with your hormones, especially your cortisol levels, which can lead to reduced thyroid levels that cause central weight gain.

So if you have one or more of the signs that can accuse your hormones, what can you do about it?

Press the reset button of your body and balance in a natural way!
